In the rolling mill of the “Badische Stahlwerke” in Kehl, Germany, a total of 19 process-pumps have been successfully commissioned. The Egger pumps are used in the cooling water circuit of the rolling mill.

Egger Process Pumps

The pumps are allocated to five areas in this German steel mill and are conveying in a parallel operation up to 3600 m³/h. 13 pumps are executed as shaft pumps of the SG construction with an installation depth between 2 and 2.5 m.

Vertical Process Pumps

6 further pumps are installed in a dry vertical design on a concrete socle. Beside the high efficiency a special importance has been attached to the low-wear and low maintenance of the pumps. The motors are delivered with efficiency class IE3. The robust construction of our pumps, the big installation depth without intermediate journal bearings of the shaft pumps combined with the high efficiency of all positions made it the best solution.
