Extending Pump Life: Goulds 3175L Repair Project

As mentioned in our earlier post, our featured project this week consists of Summit 2196 STO 2×3-6 end suction centrifugal pump packages featuring 316ss construction, 150# ANSI FF flanges, 316ss impellers (5.125” diameter), 316 ss solid shafts and standard bore stuffing boxes. The pumps are mated to WEG 10HP/3600 RPM Severe Duty TEFC motors with WEG NEMA4X Drives (16A rated, IP66 enclosure) bolted to the frame. They also feature ASI 1.375” model 595 CvsSC/Viton Cartridge double mechanical seals with API plan 52, 304ss ASI three-gallon non-ASME coded seal pots (also bolted to the frame) and cylindrical steel coupling guards.

The entire assemblies are mounted on CUSTOM 15″x44” bases with 2″x8” forklift pockets and includes removable “roll cage-style” frames fabricated from channel steel. The project is pictured here in preparation for delivery to our great customer.
