Goulds 3715M Pump Restoration

What starts as a simple repair sometimes evolves into one that is more complex and when it does, you need your local professionals at ABET to manage it!

For example, we recently repaired a Goulds 3715M 8×10-22 pump for one of our terrific customers who reported leaks. Initially, ABET technicians disassembled the pump, conducted an inspection, and found the source: a seal failure and a straightforward fix.

However, our customer further advised that the pump was leaking oil, so we dug in further and found shavings in the bearing housing.

At that point, the repair became more extensive with a full replacement of bearings, isolators, mechanical seal, O-rings, gaskets, and impeller fasteners.

After a full cleaning and final inspection, we reassembled the pump, completed hydrotesting and finished it up with a fresh coat of paint. The pump is shown here is preparation for delivery to our great customer.

Job COMPLETE.
