Standard Repair of a SIHI LPHR55316AB Pump Done Right

This week’s featured project is standard repair package on a SIHI pump (LPHR55316AB) that our customer needed to get back into service.

ABET technicians got right after the job, starting with a full disassembly and inspection. They followed by replacing the bearings, mechanical seal, tang washer, lock nut, lock washer, dust covers, shims, shaft, spacer bushing, seal spacer, and impeller nut. Next, they polished the ID of the impeller on a lathe and reassembled the pump. Lastly, they conducted a final inspection and performed a hydrostatic pressure test. The pump is shown here standing by for delivery to our terrific customer.
