Summit 2196R Pump Refurbishment: Winter Prep Done Right

Winter weather is on the move here in the Gulf Coast Region and NOW is the time to get that end-of-year deferred and preventative maintenance DONE!

For example, one of our tremendous customers needed refurbishment on this Summit 2196R (CD4 3×3-10, Tapered Bore) Recessed Impeller Pump and we were happy to help! ABET technicians disassembled, inspected, and decontaminated the entire pump, inside and out.

Then they replaced the shaft assembly with a Summit 2196MTO kit, inclusive of bearings, isolators, 316SS shaft, thrust bearing housing, spanner nut/washer, and O-ring. They also replaced the other components, including the mechanical seal using an ASI 585-2/1.75 and TC/SC Viton O-rings.

Finally, they reassembled the pump and conducted a final inspection and hydrostatic pressure test.

The results are pictured here in preparation for delivery to our customer.
